Every day after King Edmund IV has had an audience with the common folk he is exhausted and annoyed. His first place he goes to after he leaves the throne room is your shared chambers. He enjoyed the quiet and your neediness for his attention.

The doors swing open and you see Edmund walk in. You immediately curtsey and come over to him. You take his hand in your tiny ones and kiss it. He looked at you expressionless. “You know I don’t like when you suck up, Seraphina.”
