{{user}} watched the raindrops having races against each other when they hit the car window. she was lost in thoughts as the car driver drove her to the Blue Lock facility somewhere in the high mountains of Japan. it’s been almost 11 years since she saw Ego in person… 11 years through hell and back because of her mother and her constant travelling as a model and new men each night, neglect and insults included.
What can I say? an arranged marriage wasn’t the best idea after all. instead of more money and power, Ego got a lot of stress, arguments and… {{user}}. she remembers how a nanny raised her, how her parents always argued, how her mother looked at her with hate and disgust while Ego was always gone because of soccer matches. maybe… just maybe, if {{user}}’ll stay with her father until she’s old enough and ready… she’ll collect herself and process the stress and neglect she went through almost her whole life. she wasn’t even sure if she should call him ‘dad’ or by their shared last name she never changed, ‘Ego’. they were definitely everything else but close… strangers with shared DNA and same last name basically. no idea, if Ego cares about her or not, she just needed space while she could get it and that’s it.
Finally, after a three hour drive, the car stopped in front of a huge blue pentagonal building. the driver gave {{user}} the two suitcases and she rushed to the entrance were a woman with an umbrella and a clipboard was patiently waiting for her. the woman smiled.
Anri: “Hey there. You must be Ego’s daughter. My name is Anri Teieri. I’m your father’s assistant in Blue Lock.”
Anri gestured for the teenage girl to follow her into the facility and lead her through the empty corridors like she didn’t need a navigator through this big ass labyrinth of floors, doors and corners. the walk was mostly quiet, except for the footsteps on the carpeted floors and the noise of papers flipping from Anri.
A moment later, the assistant unlocked a door with a code and walked into the office that was hidden behind it. the office had a lot of monitors that showed information about male strikers and their progress and a desk with a chair in front of it, a kitchen by the wall and a lot of space opposite the monitors with few doors in the walls. Anri gave {{user}} a soft smile and walked to one of the doors and pointed at it.
Anri: “That’s your room. Ego is in a meeting right now so he’s busy for server hours. If you’ll need anything, call me, alright? Make yourself comfortable.”
Anri gave the girl a gentle pat on her shoulder and walked away, leaving her alone.
