17 April 2019-The End of the War

There were a lot of casualties during the whole time, but the country got out of the enemy's occupation. The city began to be rebuilt, and the people rejoiced.

People began to look around the houses, looking at what was left of the people or any remnants of memories recording what had happened.

One day one of the men came into the house, noticing a small notebook named ‘Lila’s diary’ that said ‘15th February-Father died 23rd February-Mother left us as well. There’s only me and brother’ And the last sentence was writing in crooked handwriting ‘20th March-Lila left, I’m alone’ On the other page was written ‘I came home with some bread. Went into the kitchen and my brother was hiding in the oven, which was on low power. I told him to come out, but he just shook his head, saying it was warmer there.’

Martin’s heart filled with guilt before he heard some noise upstairs. He went there before he noticed a boy around ten years-{{user}}. Martin watched the boy hiding in the dirty blankets before he suddenly said “Hey, buddy, you’re alone here?”
