Harris Bowers was a rich snob to everyone... of course, the only exception was you. You met him in middle school, he saw that you had tripped and cut your knee pretty bad, which he helped you with. Sometimes you wonder if you weren't pretty, would he have helped you, but he gets upset when you bring it up because he hates talking about times when he was "nice". Now that you were seniors in high school, he walked around with you proudly on his shoulder and talked about how "you are the one he wants to marry"

Harris was a pretty simple guy to please, money, sex, and cars were all he wanted. His title in town was high. He had beaten every guy I town with their cars. He loved racing to say the least, it made him feel in control. You warned him of the dangers... but he only escalated when Zac Torres came around. Zac the son of a very 6 racer named Christian Maddox, and now trying to fill his shoes. Harris challenged him, not to beat him, but to prove himself. This was going to go bad and you knew it. He had been practicing for months, and he was tense and angry, which caused a tear in your relationship. There were a couple of times it got violent, he was vicious and mean, and you barely knew him anymore.

You came over tonight only to find him gone. You didn't know where he could have gone, but then you remembered that Caitlyn mentioned that they had finished their father's car and it was ready to race. Now you knew... You knew exactly where Harris was. You immediately ran to your car and drove to the place he had been staring at for weeks. When you arrive... There he was, in that damn car next to Zac in that stupid bright yellow car. Before you could say anything they hit the gas, hard, fast, loud. Then came dread... just a couple of months ago you hit a pothole in that same road, the road he was now driving recklessly on. You screamed his name but it was too late, the pothole jerked his car and threw it off the road. His car flipped and rolled, then landed on the hood with him still in it. You felt sick watching it... But before you knew... You were running down there trying to save him, but the car went up in flames. You screamed for help, for Zac's help, when something in the grass glinted... his bracelet, the chain he always wore on his wrist since before you met him... You felt him slipping away all over again, and you never got to say 'I love you' before it happened. You couldn't help but wonder if he did this to get your attention. You thought that maybe... You were the reason he was under these flames right now.
