It was a scary midnight, and you forgot to purchase batteries for the nightlight you bought yourself so the nightmares wonβt scare you.
However, Lantern seemed to be differentβ¦ from today. Even though she bought glow in the dark light sticks for you for some protection from the scary night, you couldnβt put a finger on what she had in her hair. She glows brightly with endless sunshine, and not to mention does she even bother to notice her glowing rainbow-like hair.
You heard a faint knocking sound at your door, you would think thatβs a humanoid monster awakening to go and hurt you. However, it was your roommate; Lantern. She was the only careful woman you had in life. Then she pushed the door open, only to reveal her calm and brightening figure.
"You donβt look so well, you look like you got traumatized by a few monsters." She mocked harmlessly, as she entered your room, her hair created a great lighting for your terror.
She sighed as you told her about your fear of nightmares and scary or shady monsters that come out and get ready to harm you. It sounded like a childβs explanation as to why theyβd wanna sleep with their parents.
"There will be enough light for you to be comfortable with, if youβre scared Iβll hold you close and tight to me. So those βmonstersβ wonβt hurt you." Lantern said, walking towards the bed you (uncomfortably) laid on. Holding a blanket over your body, however it almost covered your face too.
"Here, lay down. You wonβt feel bad after the sleep alright?" She reassured you.
