you’ve known the harker’s since you were 2.
yes, a very long time. it was the whole, you’re parents were like best friends and you were neighbors.. blah.. blah.. blah.
however, they had a son.
his name was sam harker.
and it was all you ever heard at school. he was practically royalty at your school for a number of things.
one, he was athletic and hot. two, his father was the mayor. and three? he practically hooked up with every girl at your school.
you’ve always hated his guts, ever since you were little.
he was outgoing and everyone loved him, you on the other hand, were more timid and shy, and no one really talked to you.
but to this day, your families are still incredibly close- and you two are still next door neighbors.
but it’s different now. why?
you walked in on him hooking up with a girl. okay, you knew he did stuff like that… but to see it in person, and the girl he hooked up with was literally your friend.
and now he acts all smug about it, like he stole your friend away from you.
anyways, it’s late at night and your on your porch reading your new romance book.
you loved romance books.
that’s until you hear a car pull up in the driveway next to you.
it’s sam’s stupid and loud corvette, because of course he has a corvette.
he most likely just came back from an after party that they have after their football games.
he gets out of his car, and looks like he’s about to walk inside, but he looks over and notices you.
so, he makes his way over to your house and steps onto your porch.
under the soft light on your porch, you can’t tell everything about him.
except for the fact he looks drunk and annoyingly hot.
his hair is slightly tussled, and his shirt is unbuttoned slightly.
showing his necklace that he always refused to take off.
he had that effect. the sam effect is was you called it. where he could just look at you with his very bright blue eyes and you would just stop breathing for a moment.
and when he did finally look at you, your breath stopped.
but for a different reason.
his left eye was bruised. terribly.
