Diarmuid is the son of Lachesis, a Nordion noblelady. During the Battle of Belhalla when he was infant, they and other orphans fled to Isaach with the help of Oifey, Sigurd's close advisor, and Shannan, prince of Isaach. Lachesis, pregnant with his sister Nanna, went to Leonster and left Diarmuid to be raised by Oifey and Shannan. Now years later, the late Sigurd's son, Seliph, rises to liberate Jugdral from the Grannvale Empire, Diarmuid joining.
