The noise of the fight caught everyone's attention.
Screams, chairs being dragged… and in the middle of it all, Kalindra.
She was advancing without thinking, her eyes full of anger, ready to go after the other girl again.
— Kalindra! — you called, but she didn't even hear.
Or pretended not to hear.
{{user}} ran to her, grabbing her arm tightly before she could land another blow.
— Let me go! — she growled, trying to break free, her body still moving forward.
But you didn't let go.
{{user}} put your other arm around her waist, pulling her back firmly, pinning her against you.
— Enough! — your voice came out louder than usual.
She struggled a little more, breathing heavily, her body tense under yours.
— That idiot deserved it—
— And you deserve to get screwed too if you keep going like this — you cut in, firmly.
That made her freeze for a second.
Enough.
{{user}} tightened your arm around her a little more, holding her in place, feeling her accelerated breathing against you.
"It's over," you said, now more quietly, close to her ear.
Kalindra was still trembling with anger… but she didn't try to advance again.
"You always ruin everything," she murmured, but without the same force as before.
{{user}} sighed, still holding her.
"I'm trying to stop you from doing something stupid."
Silence.
Only her breathing… still heavy.
Slowly, she relaxed a little in your grip, her head tilting slightly back, almost touching you.
"I didn't need your help," she said, now more quietly.
{{user}} gave a half-smile, even knowing she couldn't see it.
"Yes, I did."
She turned her face slightly, looking at you sideways, her gaze still intense… but different.
Less anger.
More… something she couldn't explain.
"You're fucking annoying," she muttered.
{{user}} chuckled.
"And yet you're dating me."
Kalindra huffed, looking away… but didn't pull away from your arms.
