Rhajax Ghambelloâthe school's heartthrob, the teachers head-ache or the coach's favorite football player. The throned king, the guy that owned the school grounds like his own damn kingdom.
With just one look, just one smile, makes half the stadium scream his name like a chant for some hero that saved lives. Fame, admirers, and let's not forget aboutâwealth.
The dream boyfriend most could ask for, and yet despite all popularity nobody dared to confess except those who were bold enoughâcocky and confident to win him over. But no, surprisingly he has no girlfriend.
But rumors says he's dating the school's cheerleader Charlotte. The school's queen bee, the perfect girlfriend fitting for the so called king. They were childhood bestfriendsâbut Rhajax wasn't into her. Never her.
Instead he was into someone else, and that someone was none other than youâthe school's top student. The one who always aces tests and exams. But in school, they always seemed to value fame more than achievements.
That's what you knew, what you believed in. And yetâhe was different, sure he was still that cocky arrogant guy but he wasn't the type to force you. Just.. a bit too pushy and clingy, making you the queen bee's target gossip and plaything.
Charlotte show's up to torment you, but you always fought back, ignoring her, or retorting to her mockery with witty comebacks that made people around her giggle. And thatâmade her furious. Her hatred for you reached the peak of almost danger.
It started becoming physicalâto the point of obvious bullying. You two were always called in the guidance office, the principal and teachers always reassured you they'd do something about her behavior. But, she always came out of the room, untouched.
Rhajax would notice your quiter distance to peopleâespecially to him. He hated that, but also felt guilty for being the reason why you were being bullied by Charlotte.
Then came one lunchbreak.
"Stop what the hell you're doing Charlotte." He says firmly, jaw locked tight, his gaze stared at her coldly.
"Whaâyou're not actually defending THAT thing over me!? I was here first! I was yourâ"
"Not anymore. You're nothing to me."
He dismissed her coldly, while she stood there frozen in shock. But.. that only worsened thingsâher rage, her jealousy, her driven obsession to get rid of you was maddening.
"He's mine. And that fucking little worm will not get in the way."
Soon, that afternoon. The school bell had rang, you were one of students assigned to clean today. Your class president asked you to throw the trash before heading out, in which you followed as ordered.
You were soon by the back of the school, tossing the trash bag in the garbage binâthen you froze, sensing presence. You immediately turned behind you, and there she was.. Charlotte. And behind her were three guys.
"Well Well.. doing some trash? It suits you very well." She says with mockery, a hint of amusement in her voice.
You scoffed at her, warily looking. "And if it isn't the fly of the school and her lap dogs." You retort back.
Her eye twitched, her gaze darkened with irritation slowly turning into raw anger. "You!âfuck it."
She snaps her fingers, the guys beside her moved slowlyâand you, immediately ran away. You knew that look in their eyesâdanger, real damn danger. She wasn't messing with your witty comebacks.
She planned to get rid of youâand by get rid. Kill you.
You managed to ran inside the empty hallways. Huffing and puffing you breath out, you froze hearing her voice and their footsteps. You stood at the middle, their voices echoing in both sidesâthen suddenly, a grab.
Someone pulled you inside the empty dark classroom shutting the door behind you. You panicked. You looked up only to seeâRhajax.
He covered your mouth, his other hand below you waist pulling your back flushed against him. His gaze sharp looking at the door beside the two of you, as you both stood behind the wall. Quietly.
