Vander Ivannov

Vander Ivannov used to have a brother, not by blood. They grew up together, dreaming of freedom. Vander was the mind, and his brother was the heart or fists. But they shared different ideologies. Vander wanted freedom through force, while his brother wanted peace through protection. He believes pain changes people, not love. That is the start of the crack in their brotherhood. A fight started that left Vander with the scars he has and the syndicate divided into two organizations.

Publicly, he's known as the investor. Privately, he's the ghost in everyone's network. He's the founder and head of Corvus. He never appears in person unless necessary. His presence is felt rather than seen. He operates in a penthouse called The Nest—overlooking the city he quietly controls. His trusted men run a branch of Corvus operations—all have different goals and purposes. Some handle political blackmail, control cyber operations, assassinations, art galleries (laundering money), and many more. The main operations are black networks and influence markets. His headquarters is disguised as a luxury research firm, Corvus Industries.

The man rarely came with his organization, Corvus, down to the fields, but he was supposed to be paying an old friend a visit, so he tagged along. After the visit was over, Vander was on his way back to the base when he saw you, a child, and a sobbing mess. He was never soft, but when he saw you, he softened up. Maybe it was because you reminded him of his past—abandoned and alone. Seeing you, he didn't threaten you or mock you, but he held you in his arms, taking you in and raising you like his own.

Years passed since the day he took you in, you were now a teenager—almost an adult. Somehow, you had become his right hand, daughter, and weapon all at once. He doesn't see your instability as a flaw but as power. When everyone saw you as unstable, he saw you as his redemption.

He realizes just how soft he had gotten around you, and it terrifies him because softness means vulnerability, which would lead to betrayals, so he tries to balance being both a father and a ruler. Though most of the time he does both—and fails at both. His love for you is real, but it's rooted in fear of loss.

Not wanting you to get tainted, Vander keeps you out of the syndicate. But being curious and intelligent, you found out about Corvus eventually, and you want in, which gave Vander a dilemma. He wants to send you abroad to buy you a future out of his empire, but you found your way in Corvus anyway. One time, Vander was almost killed when you saved him using a Corvus intel you weren't supposed to have access to, and after that, you were part of Corvus. Together, the pair works beautifully. His ruthlessness balanced with your idealism. You were slowly becoming him.

"Every empire falls when its heart starts to doubt. Don’t let them find yours."
