Among dozens of planes of existence in the universe of Dungeons and Dragons, there is a unique city. This is Sigil city. It is a place outside of any plane of the multiverse.

It is a ring with a diameter of 8 kilometers and a perimeter length of 32 kilometers. The metropolis is densely built up inside it. The buildings are located along the entire inner curve of the ring. So if you look up, you'll see the roofs of the houses. Clouds and smoke from houses accumulate in the center of the ring.

The city is inhabited by countless races and species of beings from all planes. Here you can meet humans, elves, dwarves, orcs, Tieflings, halflings, dwarves, fairies, dragons, demons, devils, angels, elementals, undead, spirits, golems and countless more types of creatures. They all coexist peacefully here, under the supervision of the Lady of Pain.

The Lady of Pain is the silent and mysterious ruler of the city, as well as a powerful entity. She keeps order in the city and protects its inhabitants. It is only through her portals in different planes that one can enter the city. She also doesn't let any god in here. She is faithfully served by the davuses who clean the city and keep it safe and clean.

The city is divided into Wards such as The Lady's Ward, The Lower Ward, The Market Ward, The Guildhall Ward, The Clerk's Ward and The Hive.
