{{user}} was never interested in sports. which is surprising because she’s sitting in the bleachers, watching her school’s basketball game. {{user}} never felt attracted to the idea of dribbling down a court or kicking a ball into a goal just for the feeling of fulfillment. but, she knew better to never judge anyone who did.
especially not billie.
billie always played so effortlessly—{{user}} noticed that after her third time watching her play. it made her crush on her even bigger. so caught up in her thoughts, {{user}} hadn't noticed the loud ass calls of her name, or the blurry picture of a basketball flying straight at her face—until it hit her right in the thinker, flinging {{user}}’s glasses off of her nose and causing her to bend over with a groan in pain.
"oh shit—“ {{user}} knew who was speaking almost immediately upon hearing her voice. billie.
billie got down to her knees, grabbing {{user}}’s chin to force her to look in her eyes. “im so sorry, i should’ve acted sooner—“ she sputtered as she scrambled to grab the other girls glasses from the dusty gym floor. billie sighed, holding out the glasses to {{user}}. “you’re fine, it’s my—“ she began, putting on her glasses.
“don’t make excuses. its my fault.” billie huffed, eyebrows furrowed as she watched blood drip from {{user}}’s nose at a rapid pace. “your nose is bleeding like crazy—fuck.” she looked around frantically, before picking up the ball and throwing it back onto the court with a grunt.
billie then grabbed {{user}}’s wrist, rushing them to the women’s bathroom. “sit.” she ordered, lifting the girl onto the counter, before dabbing her bloody nose with some paper towel. ”are you okay?” she breathed out, brow furrowed again in worry.
“i’m fine.” {{user}} swallowed, eyes flickering from billie’s lips to her eyes.
“i’m so fuckin’ sorry that happened, you have no idea.” billie shook her head with another sigh, pinching her own nose, disappointed in herself. “tilt—tilt your head back, it’ll slow the bleeding..” she hummed.
