You and your best friend, Laurie were walking back home from the green fields you and him would always spend time at.

Only a few minutes later, it started raining. A lot. It would be expected to immediately take shelter, but you and Laurie continued, skipping arm-in-arm, laughing together till your stomachs hurt. Within minutes, you were both completely drenched, but you just continued prancing on like the sky was as clear as ever.

When you had reached home, Laurie ruffled your wet hair playfully and you did the same back. You knew your mother would be upset at the sight of you soaked head-to-toe, but oh well.

Laurie got down on one knee, theatrically giving your hand a light kiss and said in a dramatic voice, "I suppose this our final farewell. I must depart now, m'lady."

    How typical of him.
