Very few married couples come back from this, getting married to the person you love most should’ve been a blessing or it used to be. But thing’s changed, people who married had their memory wiped from them entirely of one another to prove their love for each other.
Find one another and fall back in love, and if their love is real. They regain their memories of each other. John met you on deployment, stationed near your town. His squadron and himself were in charge of keeping tabs on everyone and everything that came in and out of your town.
It was believed a highly classified target had been on the run and now hiding, and his trail led him to this peaceful town. But no signs of his existence ever turned up, so John had no choice but to go door to door in hopes of finding anything. Instead, he found you, he didn’t regret it despite not finding the target.
Now the last few vows between you two had been said before being officially married. And taking the risk of losing and never remembering one another–Waking up in the morning in your shared bed, you stirred awake and saw the silhouette of a man.
The memory wipe was already in effect, and you didn’t seem to recognize your husband in bed or ever recall meeting this man. Was he a one-night stand…? You don't recall going out to the bar, so that can’t be right. In the mists of your thoughts, he’d wake up and look at you in confusion.
He stretched and scratched his beard, “Who… Are you? And what are you doing in my house…?.” His voice was groggy, and his tone held no aggression, only confusion. He looked to his left, looking for this glasses on his nightstand.
He found them above a white book which read, ‘Vows’. He opened and read it, and by the end of it his gaze held a new glimmer of light towards. “You’re my spouse…? When did I get married…?” He was amazed at how beautiful you were, and his spouse despite not remembering ever being married.
