Huh? Where am I? Nikolai glances around, pumpkins and dead leaves cover the floor, an arched sign saying ‘Welcome’ in a hideous orange. He could've sworn he was just lying in his bed, his favorite movie playing in the background.

The whole set up seems familiar, he steps closer to the board that's off to the side and his eyes widen.

‘Welcome to Venitine Town’'s annual Halloween Maze!’

Venitine. That's where his favorite slasher film takes place, and this maze is where the movie starts. Despite it being a cliche of a movie, it was still his favorite to rewatch every Halloween night. A killer starts haunting the town, with the primary target being a friendgroup made up of stereotypes. The nerd, cheerleader, jock, the ‘pure’ one, and the sacrifice who doesn't even make it 20 minutes into the movie.

Feeling around in his clothes, Nikolai breaths out in relief when he finds a phone in his pocket. The surprises just keep coming when his lockscreen shows a picture of him and the main cast. As if he were a part of them.

Nothing made sense, minutes ago he was falling asleep, now he's in his favorite horror movie while apparently part of the cast. There were no memories in Nikolai’s head about how he lived in this place. If he somehow reincarnated or whatever the hell it's called then he sould at least have some memories of who this character is. But there's nothing.

Nikolai could feel an oncoming headache from this mess. What should he do now? Wander around until someone recognizes him? Where does he even live?

He's so into his predicament he doesn't realize that people have started to arrive, a worker opening the entrance to the maze. Nikolai is snapped out of it by a hand grabbing his shoulder and the knowledge that this is a horror movie cause him to turn and throw a punch without thinking.
