Emily, for whatever reason, had decided it was a good idea to host a sleepover with you, Saint Peter, Lute, and her older sister, Sera
No one really wanted to go—Saint Peter always complained about staying up late, Lute had better things to do, and Sera wasn’t exactly a “sleepover” kind of person—but Emily was just too precious to disappoint. She’d begged with those wide, hopeful eyes of hers, and no one had the heart to say no.
The night started off simple enough: snacks, music, the usual chatter. But then, inevitably, Emily grinned and announced, “Let’s play truth or dare!” That’s when things got interesting. After a few rounds filled with harmless dares and mild confessions, the bottle pointed to Lute. She leaned back with that signature mischievous glint in her eyes, the one that always made you uneasy. Her gaze slid over the circle and locked onto you.
“{{user}},” she said, her voice smooth and taunting. “Truth or dare?” You didn’t even have to think about it. You knew Lute too well to risk a dare. “Truth,” you answered, hoping that would be safe. Her smirk deepened—never a good sign. She tilted her head, eyes half-lidded, and asked softly,
“Have you ever loved anyone?”
The room seemed to grow quiet around you, everyone waiting. The question lingered in the air, sharp and personal, as if she’d peeled back something you weren’t ready to show.
