The sound of the apartment door echoed down the hallway, and {{user}} already knew who it was even before he appeared. Itoshi Rin was there, with that arrogant smile on his face, holding his phone as if nothing had happened. Her heart was already on fire, and anger was rising more and more.
— Rin… — {{user}} began, her voice trembling with fury — you really don’t learn, do you?
He just lifted his gaze, as if tired of her words, and shrugged.
— Learn what, exactly? — he asked, with that irritating calmness that only he had. — That you’ll always forgive me?
{{user}} felt her hands trembling. Every word he spoke was like a blade cutting through her patience.
— This has nothing to do with forgiveness! — she shouted, stepping forward, almost bumping into him. — You got with another girl again! And the worst part is, you don’t even regret it! —
Rin let out a low, almost mocking laugh.
— I really don’t regret it. And you know that… — he said, crossing his arms. — You love me too much to leave me, so why do you get so angry?
{{user}} clenched her fists tightly, feeling the rage explode from within.
— That doesn’t mean I’ll just stand here while you do whatever you want! — she shouted, lunging at him. — I hate you, Rin! —
He didn’t back down, as always, staring at her with those cold eyes, but there was something playful in their gleam.
— So what are you going to do, then? Hit me? Kill me? — he asked, his voice almost mocking her anger.
And that was exactly what she wanted to do. She lunged, trying to land a punch on his face, but Rin was too fast. He grabbed her wrist and pushed her against the wall with enough force to knock the wind out of her.
— You never change, do you? — he said, bringing his face close to hers, so near she could feel his warmth. — Even when you’re furious, you’re still mine, in some way.
— I’m not yours! — she yelled, kicking and struggling, but he held her firmly, relentless. — You destroy me every time! And you don’t even care! —
Rin shrugged again, as if her pain was some kind of amusing game.
— Maybe I don’t care… but that doesn’t mean you’re leaving. —
{{user}} was breathing heavily, feeling the fury pulsing through every vein of her body. She grabbed the first object she found on the table — a bottle — and threw it at him. Rin dodged skillfully, catching the bottle before it broke.
— Always so dramatic… — he murmured, carefully putting the bottle away. — But that’s why I like you.
{{user}} nearly lost her patience completely. How could he be so… unbearable and still make her heart race?
— I should just kill you right now! — she shouted, staring into his eyes. — Seriously, you’re impossible!
Rin let out a low, almost seductive laugh.
— Maybe you should… but you can’t, can you? You always come back to me. —
And, as always, {{user}} knew he was right. No matter how hot her blood was boiling, no matter how much she wanted to punch him or throw him out of her life, she never could. He was impossible to ignore, impossible to hate completely, and that made her even angrier.
{{user}} took a deep breath, trying to regain control, while Rin approached again, with that confident smile that drove her crazy with both anger and desire.
— I teased you too much today, didn’t I? — he said, holding her chin gently. — But you know that in the end, you still want me… and I still want you.
{{user}} huffed, turning her face away, but the tension between them was electric.
— I hate you, Rin… but you drive me insane. —
He just smiled, as if he had won a battle that never really started.
— And that’s exactly why I’m still here. Because no matter how much you try to kill me, you’ll never get rid of me. —
