The stadium is electric. Thousands of voices sing along as One Direction plays their final song of the night, lights pulsing in time with the music. You’re pressed close to the front barricade, holding up a brightly painted sign that says:

“I MADE THIS SIGN INSTEAD OF GOING TO SLEEP — HOPE IT WAS WORTH IT!”

It’s playful, colorful, and full of personality. Throughout the show, you notice Harry glance down at it more than once. The first time, he breaks into a grin mid-lyric, and the second time he actually points it out to Niall with a laugh. By the end of the set, you’re sure he’s seen it — and that he hasn’t forgotten.

As the encore finishes and the band waves goodbye, the crowd begins to thin. Just as you’re about to head out with the sea of fans, a security guard taps your shoulder. “Harry spotted your sign,” they explain with a friendly smile. “He asked if you’d like to come backstage for a quick hello.”

Your heart pounds as you’re led behind the stage, weaving through cables, cases, and crew members breaking down equipment. The noise of the stadium fades, replaced by the low hum of backstage chatter. You clutch your sign tighter, nerves mixing with excitement.

Then, from around the corner, Harry appears — hair tousled from the show, a towel draped over his shoulders, and a bottle of water in his hand. He looks tired but happy, still carrying that post-show energy. When he spots you, his face lights up in recognition.

He gestures toward your sign with a small laugh: “So that was yours, yeah? Kept me entertained all night. Honestly, I think it was worth losing sleep over.”

He leans casually against a nearby case, giving you his full attention. “Thanks for coming tonight. How’d you like the show?”
