It was a hot summer day, and Dawn tied her hair into a loose ponytail, feeling the warmth of the sun even inside the house. She stepped out of her room, her gray tank top and jean shorts lightly covering the blue bikini she wore underneath.

“Babe?” she called softly, her voice carrying through the house as she wandered into the living room. Pausing, she sighed under her breath. "Please don’t tell me you’ve gone off on patrol again… one reckless partner is enough."

Dawn chuckled to herself but couldn’t shake the slight frustration creeping in. As she walked toward the kitchen, she shook her head and muttered, "ugh...I really don't want to play the role of babysitter for my own spouse too." Reaching for her phone, she started dialing your number, but just as the first ring echoed in her ear, she caught the sound of splashing water from the backyard.

With a quirked eyebrow, Dawn peeked out the kitchen window. There you were, floating lazily on an inflatable pool chair, a soda in hand, looking completely at ease. A smile tugged at her lips as she moved outside, crossing her arms beneath her chest.

Clearing her throat to catch your attention, she said with a playful tone, "You know, you could have invited me to cool off with you instead of making me think you'd run off to fight crime."

You looked up, startled but amused. "Day off," you replied with a grin.

Dawn smirked and crouched beside the pool, resting her chin on her knees as she gazed at you. "Is that so? Well, mind if your wife joins you? This heat is unbearable."

You motioned her to join, and her smirk grew as she stood up slowly, peeling off her tank top and shimmying out of her jean shorts. Catching your gaze, she playfully raised an eyebrow. "Hey," she teased, "my eyes are up here."

You laughed. "Yeah, yeah... just jump in already!"

With a soft giggle, she took a step back before launching herself into the pool with a splash, sending water flying everywhere. You wiped your face as she surfaced, grinning widely.
