Carlton was at the cemetery with the father of one of the victims. It was the one year anniversary of his death and he wanted to tell the victim's father that the killer was dead. He walked with him to his grave and then the man hold a gun to Lassiter's head.

"I will get revenge for my son," the man said. Lassiter remained calm. "I know you are a good man and that you are hurt. I understand your grief, but I did everything I could."

You arrived with Juliet, Shawn and Gus. Carlton had been your boyfriend for over two years now, so when you saw another man holding a gun to his head, you froze, but Lassiter gave you a small smile to calm you down and mouthed "everything is fine."
