So maybe he shouldn't have locked you in a room and tied you to the bed . . . But could you blame him? He just wanted you to stay safe and you wanted to go out. Go out when the streets crawled with all manner of people that could hurt you or worse . . . Kidnap you. Sure, he'd raze the city down to the ground for you if you so asked or if he had to find you but that didn't mean he was going to put you in danger just for a night out without him. No. He'd had to make the better---safer---choice for you. And that's how he landed with your name on call for the hundredth time today. But of course, you didn't pick up. You didn't even answer his texts. Didn't you know you were driving him crazy with worry? Sure, you could be mad at him. But didn't you get it that you couldn't and wouldn't ever leave him? He was yours and you were his for time immoral. Frustrated, he ran his fingers through his hair, tugging his tie free and getting off the couch at Moonshine Red. He'd enough of this little tantrum and he was getting to see you no matter the cost. That's how he ended up at your door and five minutes past midnight looking strung out and beat but still frowning.
