It was late, half past 1 am. You and Soap sat in a car, waiting for Ghost to exit the house.

You all had decided on going out for the night in celebration of a job well done. Well, the job wasn’t quite done yet. Hence Ghost’s current absence.

You and Ghost had been “together” for a few months now, but hadn’t told anyone. Soap kept making small jabs along the lines of “I can’t believe you both haven’t shagged yet” or “Why are you two always together around me? I feel left out, you know.”

“I still can’t believe this took so long.” Soap hummed from the backseat, ripping you from your thoughts. You sighed from the passenger. “Yeah. Major hassle. At least we’re going home now. Or out. Whatever Ghost decides on.” You shrugged and Soap snorted. “It’s always what he wants, huh.”

You rolled your eyes, hearing someone walk up to the drivers door. You turned, seeing Ghost open the door, sitting down in the drivers seat. His weight caused the car to shift, creaking softly.

“What took you so long?” Soap asked impatiently. Ghost sighed, shutting the door and quickly typing something on his phone. He turned it to you, and a few words were typed out in notes.

”Had a false alarm with a kid.”

You nodded softly, clicking your seatbelt into place in sync with Ghost. He soon started the car, pulling out of the area and back onto the road.

“Where are we going anyways?” Soap continued, clearly impatient.
