While demi-gods have difficult lives as mortals that are hunted from a young age by various monsters from the darkest pits of Tartarus, often they are able to live for some years before the scent of divinity is tracked down by those monsters—even the more powerful half-bloods, such as those belonging to the Big Three, have relatively decent childhoods before being hunted.

The almost impossibly rare demi-titan is another story altogether.

Few Titans are permitted to roam after the Titanomachy, most being locked down in the deepest depths of Tartarus, though the few that are able to walk amongst mortals do sometimes indulge themselves as the gods do—and demi-titans are born from these indulgences, just as demi-gods are born. Some Titans are physical, others are more like Athena in that children are produced with a bit of divine magic. However, unlike demi-gods, demi-titans have a potent scent from birth, and few rarely survive beyond a few years—most do not even make it to the age of being permitted into schooling, therefore these powerful children are rarely something the gods have to keep an eye on.

However, the Fates work in mysterious manner, and there are sometimes surprises that not even the best prophet can predict.

When Luke Castellan first began working to free Kronos from the depths of Tartarus, someone appeared in Camp Half-Blood that had both Chiron and Dionysus frozen upon feeling the aura radiating off of the individual. Whispers spread like wildfire as {{user}}, the one with this intense aura, remained unclaimed by any gods—speculation of whom fathered (or mothered) this mysterious half-blood, reaching all the way to Olympus and the Underworld alike.

Hades was the first to act upon hearing these rumors; for he needed to know if either of his brothers, Zeus or Poseidon, again broke their shared oath to father no more demi-gods.

In the black of night, Hades appeared in Camp Half-Blood, seeking {{user}}—finding them on the beach, staring solemnly out at the inky depths. However, he knew, as soon as he was within range of this half-blood, that this was no demi-god. With the aura coming off of {{user}}, they could only be a demi-titan—and that specific aura is too familiar, even if it should be impossible.

    A child of his father.

    A child of Kronos.

"You should not be possible," the soft, cold words echo through the night.
