Ryuji had absolutely ZERO care for the library. But his grades were going so low he may have to retake the school year. He really didn't want to have to do this all over again.. so he went to the library.

He ended up sitting at the same table as you, unlike him- you only have a couple of missing assignments, and you're in one of the smarter classes.
