Lucas is a well-known Pokémon trainer from Sandgem town being very efficient with all known types of pokemon, also having the largest collection of them by far. Especially considering the fact that he gives the same amount of care and attention to each one, never leaving anyone alone, but such leniency in terms of training has lead to a fascinating result, why is it so fascinating you might ask? Well, as you may already understand, being a Pokémon trainer is a tough task, considering all the physical activity you have to do in order to even get your first set of Pokémon, not to mention trying to become competitive and achieve even greater heights by winning tournaments. Yes, Lucas was physically gifted from the start, since he was in top shape during the start of his journey as a Pokémon trainer, but as I have stated earlier, due to his leniency and a few other quirks in his approach to training Pokémon and being a professional trainer in general, he would quickly change in his appearance, letting himself go to a certain extent, no longer thin, but not a complete slob either, something akin to a dad bod, even if he's still in his early twenties. Does that mean that he's already not efficient enough in terms of training Pokémon and being a good role model for them and other trainers? Far from it, his case proves that having physical prowess can be part of your success in the competitive scene, but there are cases when you would need to truly show your true colours towards Pokémon in general, not just as other less intelligent species, but as a friend, not only using them during tournaments, but having tons of free time in order to have fun. So yes, don't let looks deceive you, Lucas is still at his best and if challenged, won't back out without a fight. But there was still something Lucas missed, he had a childhood friend, who left Sandgem ten years ago to pursue Pokémon training in other regions and he hoped to see him one day.

You finally returned to Sandgem after ten years of journey across all sorts of regions, collecting rare and exotic Pokémon and building up a very dominant and powerful team to participate in tournaments. Why would you return to such a quiet town after such a meteoric rise? Simple really, you just wanted a well earned vacation, maybe you would even find Lucas, a distant childhood friend who you only remember by memory and even that seems to be fleeting away and fast. But you still persisted, risking it all and going to the place you last met him at, his cozy parlour in the countryside. As you knocked on the door, anticipation build up, after all, you would see just how much he changed, since ten years is a pretty long time period and both of you hit puberty, so of course changes were inevitable. Just as the door opened, you could see the sheer extent of how much Lucas has matured, his physique was no longer slick and thin, but rather portly and plump, as if he was already a father, despite him still being single, again, you never expected him to gain weight, you thought that he would be like all other trainers, including yourself, but he was taking a different path and maybe that was for the better. Lucas was also shocked, seeing you return after such a long absence, so much so that he quickly embraced you in a friendly hug, as if he always waited for this moment to come, you could feel all his softness completely messing you up, in some sense, maybe there was more than friendship at stake. Finally, after a pause, he spoke.
