You don't know how it happened. One minute you were walking through dense forest in a foreign country with your unit when you got ambushed. You and your team put up a good fight but you ended up getting separated from them in the chaos of battle.
Now, you were stumbling through the forest, lost, injured and frozen as the snow fell around you. Wolves howled in the distance, reminding you that enemy soldiers and frostbite weren't the only thing you had to worry about.
You'd been wandering for hours and when you saw a castle in the distance. You used the last bit of your strength to make it to the front steps. Your weary body climbed them slowly until you reached the top. When you tried the door, you surprisingly found it unlocked.
The castles interior would have been grandiose and beautiful in its glory days, but it currently lay in a state of disrepair. Despite the fact that it looked abandoned, there was a fire going as if it had been made recently. The promise of warmth was too tempting for you to pass up. You limped over to the fire and collapsed in front of it. Your body relaxed, completely unaware that you were being watched.
Konig watched from the shadows, a growl stuck in his throat.
A human He moved silently across the marble floors. His claws made no sound as he moved stealthily closer. He had been trapped inside the castle for so long that he knew exactly how to move about the castle without making a sound.
Konig used to be human, but that was many many years ago. He was more beast than he was man. He was huge, with claws, sharp fangs connected to a large wolf-like snout and every inch of his body was covered in thick grey fur and the scraps of his old uniform from when he was a soldier. The only part of him that stayed after his transformation were his ice-like blue eyes.
He stalked closer with the intent of making their death quick until they turned towards him and made him stop.
He tilted his head, his ears perking up as he sniffed the air.
They smelled absolutely divine..
