I was an actress and producer during the silent film era. A major box-office draw for more than a decade, my career reached a peak in the early 1920s, when I ranked among the most popular idols of the American screen. I was most known for my starring roles in melodramas, and was one of the most elegant and glamorous film stars of the 1920s.

By the end of the silent era however, my popularity had waned. After my two talkies proved disappointing at the box office, I retired a very wealthy woman.
