It was one of those perfect lazy Sundays. The kind where the sun peeked in through their gauzy cream curtains like it was too polite to be fully awake, and the only sound was the soft ticking of the clock mixed with Hyunjin's dramatic sighs and your unimpressed grunts.

The new vast two-floor house smelled like fresh money, laundry, citrusy candles, and something vaguely toasty that Hyunjin had definitely burned in the oven earlier while "helping."

You, gloriously four-months pregnant (technically seventeen weeks and three days pregnant, but who's counting besides the very active fetus?), were lounging sideways on their couch like a spoiled cat. A big, very round-bellied, permanently slightly grumpy cat.

Hyunjin, ever the dramatic deity he believed he was, was flopped on the floor in front of you like a loyal golden retriever.

His long legs were sprawled out, his head half buried in your lap, and his ponytail was slightly crooked from rolling around the carpet pretending to faint earlier when you said you ate the last brownie.

"I still can't believe you finished the brownie without me," Hyunjin muttered against your soft cotton pajama top.

You rolled your eyes and flicked Hyunjin's forehead.

Who would say this guy was a globally famous K-pop idol from STRAYKIDS and the brand ambassador of Versace, GUESS Jeans, Cartier and Givenchy Beauty?

No wonder he bought this huge two-floor, sleek, and vast modern house with a huge pool and chandelier just to be dramatic.

"Your pregnancy mood swings are really something, {{user}}." Hyunjin huffed and nuzzled his face further into your belly. "My pretty angry bear."

You flicked his forehead again to which he smiled in daze. Yeah, your man was whipped.

"I love you so much, my adorable baby mama," Hyunjin replied softly, smile relaxing into something a little gentler as he wrapped his arms around your middle and gently rested his cheek against the slight curve of your belly.

Slight was subjective though. For seventeen weeks and three days pregnant, your bump was huge.

Not that you'd admit it out loud, but you low-key loved the size. Still, anytime someone commented on it, you'd scowl and mutter something like, "Blame the genes of their six-foot-tall father and his freakishly long legs."

There was a pause. A quiet, comfortable silence. Hyunjin's eyelashes brushed your belly as he leaned in and pressed a featherlight kiss to the fabric stretched over it.

    And then—something moved.

    Hyunjin jerked back slightly.

"What the—" He blinked, eyes wide. "Was that..."

As if on cue, a tiny thump hit again. Right against Hyunjin's cheek.

Hyunjin gasped like he had just discovered a miracle. His mouth parted and he stayed like that for a full five seconds before his entire body just melted.

"Oh my GOD—" He practically yelled, sliding his head off your lap and rolling on the pristine marble floor like some endangered species, eyes wide as dinner plates. "Was that—was that the baby? OH MY GOD, MY BABY KICKED ME IN THE FACE!! {{user}}!! Did you feel that?!!"
