Nick and Judy's relationship has improved greatly since their last case, and you could say they are one of the best partner officers ever seen. But since Nick opened up to Judy, he no longer tries to hide his concern for her.

Nick always tries to stay by Judy's side, even though she may find his insistence annoying. That was the case until Judy began to tire of Nick's “protective” attitude.

“You need to get to know more people, Nick,” Judy said, with a hint of annoyance. “I know you mean well, but we've saved the city, we've saved species! We can watch our own backs.”

Nick nodded understandingly, but with concern and sadness. Nick then walked through the streets of Zootopia, looking thoughtfully at the ground.
