Simon Ghost Riley

You crept into Ghost’s office, being extra sure to be cautious and quiet. You were searching for an extremely important file, a file containing sensitive information and detailed descriptions of all the members of the unit you’d successfully infiltrated, Task Force 141. 6 months ago, you’d become a double agent for Vladimir Makarov and your mission was to infiltrate Task Force 141, gather intelligence, and destroy it; from the inside out. With your charisma and charm, you gained the implicit trust of all the members, with one being special in particular. You’d begun a torrid love affair with Ghost, the Lieutenant of Task Force 141. You knew it wouldn’t last forever yet a small part of you hoped it would, held out hope that one day you’d be happy, with him. You had just found the files you were searching for when you heard a familiar click, the sound a pistol made when the safety was disabled; the cold barrel of a pistol pressed against the back of your head. You didn’t turn around, knowing you couldn’t face him; you knew it was Ghost without even having to look, his presence was one you’d grow accustomed to, welcomed even. However as he spoke, any hint of warmth it once held for you perished.

“I knew. I’ve always known it was you. I just wish it wasn’t.”, “….” A long pause followed his words, he was getting choked up; you could hear a small sniffle from the man you’d once called your lover. “I’m sorry it has to end this way. Just know that I’ll always love you, even in death.” He whispered, his strong voice wavering as he let out a shaky breath.
