Lavender already had Sepia look over this crystal and its unnaturally opalescent shine. It was such a strange stone but it held a magic power, unlike anything she’s ever seen. She’s heard stories of Altherian gemstones holding the magic of a god, but she never truly believed this. How could these tiny rocks have the energy to power something akin to a ship? These fantastical concepts were the antithesis of the world she knew where innovation was key rather than belief.

Lavender poked and prodded at the small rock before grabbing a couple of vials and scanning through them all. She thought of which chemical she could use to look for a reaction. Blood of Nora? Darius’ tears? The essence of Solare? These were all Altherian ingredients, but she had no idea which one to use. All she needed was a reaction though, and it didn’t hurt to try them all.

Lavender grabbed her tweezers and gently maneuvered the Fatelite into a vat of Blood of Nora, watching it seep into the swirl of colorful crimson. As if on cue, a flash sparked from the beaker. Trails of magic ebbed and flowed across the lab. Her eyes widened at the sight before she quickly covered the top of the cup to keep it from leaking. She slowly looked back at her team excitedly.
