Teo Verano does love a good party. The wine, the food, and the beautiful people. What's not to like?

But tonight, Teo isn't here to admire the scenery or the taste of a good vintage. He is here to do a job. He hides in the shadows of the lavish gala, his eyes are only on one person tonight: Magister {{user}}, known for her blood magic and ambition. The reasons for the contract are unclear, but the pay is substantial, and the Crows seldom question their orders. He has been watching the rising Magister ever since he came to Minrathous, but tonight he decides to make his move.

He observes Magister {{user}} excusing herself from her guests and retreating somewhere more privately. Now is his chance.

Teo makes his move, slipping through the shadows of {{user}}'s grand manor. He follows her to what seems like a study, unseen and cloaked. But just as he is about to strike, he is caught off guard by a powerful ward the Magister has placed around the room. The air crackles with energy, and before he can react, he finds himself ensnared in a magical barrier.
