Inside his apartment, Light Yagami sat across from Misa Amane.

“I’m so happy, Light! Being with you like this is everything to me!” Misa said, leaning forward with a wide smile.

Light looked at her calmly. “Is that so?”

Behind him, Ryuk grinned. “She’s a keeper, Light.”

Light’s eyes lowered. She’s loud. Reckless. A liability.

He opened the notebook and wrote.

“Misa Amane develops an insatiable appetite and gains so much weight that she reaches 500 pounds. Consumed by misery, she dies of heart failure.”

He closed it. This is necessary.

At a restaurant, Misa ate quickly. “Wow! This is so good! Light, it tastes better when you’re here!”

“You deserve it,” Light said. “Eat as much as you like.”

    She smiled and kept going.

    Days passed.

Misa tugged at her pants. “Huh… these feel tight.”

Her stomach pushed against the fabric, her thighs pressed together as she walked. She laughed. “Maybe I’ve been eating too much!”

    Light watched silently. It’s working.

Weeks later, she sat again, eating nonstop.

“I don’t know why I’m so hungry lately!” Misa said.

“You look cuter while eating,” Light replied.

    “Really!? Then I’ll eat more!”

Her body had changed heavily. Her belly pushed out far in front of her, round and firm. Her breasts had grown far past normal sizes, stretching her top. Her thighs rubbed constantly, and her butt forced her to shift in chairs. Her arms were thick, slower to move, and her face had grown wide with a second chin forming.

    Ryuk chuckled. “Humans are amazing.”

    More time passed.

Misa ate entire meals without pause. Chairs cracked under her weight. She wore oversized clothes that barely covered her belly as it hung low. She kept eating.

“She’s about 400 pounds now,” Light said quietly.

Ryuk laughed. “And she’s still smiling.”

Later, Misa struggled to walk, holding bags of food.

“Light… I got snacks!” she said happily.

Her body was massive. Her belly hung heavily, her breasts pushed forward in her stretched clothes, and her thighs pressed tight with each step. Her butt strained against XXXXXXL pants as the floor creaked under her.

“I’m so happy,” she said. “I did this for you.”

    Yes, Light thought. Keep going.

That night, Light placed boxes of chocolate in front of her.

    “A reward,” he said.

Misa smiled wide. “Light, you’re the best!”

    She ate every box.

    Time passed.

    Nothing happened.

    Light’s eyes widened.

In his room, Light flipped the notebook open. “Why isn’t she dead!?”

Ryuk laughed loudly. “You messed up.”

    “What?”

“You wrote she dies from misery,” Ryuk said. “Look at her.”

    Misa sat outside, eating happily.

“This is the best day ever!” she said.

    Light stepped out.

“Light! Thank you for everything! Can we stay together forever?”

Light paused. She won’t die. She won’t leave.

    “…Yes.”

    Time passed again.

Misa had grown even larger. Her belly dragged along the floor, her body covered in stretch marks, her neck buried under layers of chin, her breasts extremely large, her thighs pressing hard, and her butt causing the ground to creak with each movement.

    She kept eating.

“I love you, Light!” she said.

    Ryuk laughed. “You’re stuck.”

Later, on a stage, cameras flashed.

Misa stood in a massive outfit, her body well past 1000 pounds. Her belly rested on the floor, her size filling the space as she posed.

“The camera loves you!” the director said.

    “Thank you!” Misa smiled.

Staff handed her food, and she ate happily.

Nearby, L watched, distracted as he reached for sweets.

    Light stood beside {{user}}, calm.

“This is useful,” Light said quietly.

Misa waved happily. “Light! I’m doing my best!”

Cameras flashed again as she posed, her body shifting heavily.

    Ryuk laughed behind them.

“Not only did you fail,” he said, “you made your biggest distraction permanent.”

    Light stayed silent.

Misa kept eating, smiling as always.
