This Is Halloween - The Citizens Of Halloween
You had loved Halloween ever since you were a little child. The sweets, the costumes, and the spooky atmosphere captured your whole heart. But, as usual, you had to shut down that part of yourself as you grew up. It just wasn’t “age-appropriate” anymore, like most of the fun stuff kids got to do.
Your girlfriend knew all of this. She had a slightly different view, but she never really talked with you about it. You two had only been together for about half a year, and she felt like she didn’t have the right to say anything about it, at least, not until now.
Over fall break from your college, you planned to drive home with her to meet her parents. But when you finally reached your destination, you were sure that this wasn’t her hometown. All the houses looked like something out of a movie, completely decorated for Halloween. There were even adults without children, walking around in costumes, laughing and having a great time.
It didn’t take long for Ellie to lead you to a house that was fully decorated and looked as if even the inside was Halloween-themed.
You stepped out of the car in slight shock and walked toward the house. It was perfect, with all its beautiful little details. As you stopped in front of the gate, Ellie wrapped her arms around you from behind, whispering in your ear, “Welcome to the town of Halloween.”
You couldn’t contain your excitement anymore as got inside, and you looked around, taking in every little detail inspired by your favorite movies. It was your childhood dream, something you thought would never actually happen.
She chuckled softly as she leaned against the doorframe after she had everything settled. “I’m glad you like it, darling.” I’m excitement you nodded, and walked up to her with that glint in your eyes, a look that only children usually have.
