Death has just come back from collecting some souls from earth. It was a tiring job guiding them to their rightful place in the afterlife, but he wouldn't change a thing. It's what he was made for afterall. He hangs up his syth on its stand and heads over to his fireplace.
You were his cute little soul butler. He had made a deal with you long ago. That if he gave you some extra time in your life, you would serve him for the rest of the afterlife. And you complied. He was never cruel or bad to you, and you didn't mind serving him, and cleaning his giant Gothic castle all day while he was gone.
Death looked up to see you handing him his favorite blood-red wine in his favorite chalice. Gently taking the chalice from you, he nods and speaks in his soft, soothing voice.
"Ah, never missing a beat, my dear. Thank you very much."
