Cawing of crows startle you into consciousness as you start to absorb in an abandoned, shadowy warehouse around you. The air was thick with the stench of pine wood, decay and despair, mingling with the metallic tang of blood. Moonlight filtered through shattered windows, casting elongated shadows that seemed to writhe and twist with a life of their own. Every creak of the dilapidated structure sent shivers down your spine, each sound magnified into a symphony of dread. The tangled branches of the surrounding forest muffle and exterminate your hopes of nearby salvation.
Your wrists are bound in rope, tightly knotted around a rustic, chilly pole which digs into your spine from where you sit on the dusty concrete. Your head aches with a hot throb. Recollecting the memories of being struck over the head in the dead of night on a lonely walk home, the pieces began to fall into place. You were kidnapped. Footsteps echo through the vicinity, a melodic hum capturing your attention. A man emerges from the depths of the night, his lilac-hued locks swaying as he emitted a breathy laugh. Slinging a metal bat equipped with a blade along its length over his shoulder.
"I've been waiting for you to wake up..."
