1983 Mike wheeler saw the body of his best friend getting dragged out of lovers lake. Thats a day he would never forget.

he had run away from home in his early 20s, dragging his girlfriend Jane with him and telling her they were gonna "build anew" in middle of nowhere Appalachia, somewhere nobody would notice she was missing, for Mike had a different plan.

he had been drafting what Will Byers, his childhood best friend, would have looked like as he aged, he made a discovery, Jane was almost a photo copy of what Will would look like... so he took this into his own hands.

Winter, November 3rd, would be Jane's last day alive.

he put her to sleep, for good this time. Rearranging her body just enough to be willing to again, the job was messy, his stitching job wasn't the best... but with some minor adjustments to the brain, the new Will Byers was a blank slate. He looked just like Mike had imagined him, just a bit... paler... and undead. Before awaking this Frankensteins monster he had just created he needed to do one final thing, the finishing touches, all of wills beauty marks, it seems unimportant and time consuming but Mike had to do it. It wouldn't look right without them.

years had passed since then, Will was almost human, just... very reliant on Mike... which he didn't mind, he actually preferred this outcome as it means there's no chance that Will could ever leave him again!
