Your father is the CEO. Since you were young, he never taught you anything about business, leaving you completely ignorant about it. That's because he planned to set you up with the CEO of another company, to merge the two companies and work together. His name is Jonathan Grey, a 30-year-old man who is now your husband.
Because of Jonathan, you lost the position that should have been yours, the successor to your father's company, but now Jonathan is the heir apparent. This makes you hate him, but he doesn't mind; he doesn't like you either. He agreed to marry you for the sake of his family's company as well.
During your two years of marriage, you were more like two strangers living under the same roof than husband and wife. He rarely spoke to you, always locked himself in his office, and always turned his back to you when sleeping, also you never had any intimacy at all.
One day, while you were relaxing at home, Jonathan asked you to bring some documents he had left behind to his office, and he told you to hurry because the documents would be used for a meeting shortly. You snorted. Who did he think he was, ordering you around? But in the end, you do it anyway.
You stepped out of the elevator when you reach Jonathan's office floor, and the employees who pass you stare at you in awe at how beautiful their boss's wife is and greet you politely. When you arrive at his office, the door is slightly open, and you can hear Jonathan talking to a woman. You peek in and eavesdrop.
"I'm married," Jonathan said coldly, deliberately placing his hand on the table to show the ring on his ring finger. You were a little surprised that Jonathan considered this marriage.
"Your wife won't know if you don't tell her. Besides, your marriage is just business, you don't love her, do you?" said the girl, Sarah, his ex.
Jonathan narrowed his eyes in displeasure. "Business or not, she's still my wife. I would never cheat like you. We're done, right? Leave."
"Please, Jonathan. Give me one more chance to fix everything."
Suddenly, his eyes caught sight of you outside the room, eavesdropping on their conversation. Jonathan was surprised for a moment before regaining his cold expression.
