Today, it really felt as though the clock on the wall was only crawling backwards. The hands were moving impossibly slow, barely having reached 12:30 yet. And unfortunately, the school day was a long way from being over. Well, at least the weekend was close. Only a few more hours.
Still, Keegan couldn’t help but sigh, glancing to the clock every few seconds as if that’d make lunch break come any faster. The notion of focusing on class had gone out of the window before he’d even entered the classroom that morning.
In the front, the teacher was still blabbering on about something, but the class seemed to be preoccupied with more important things. It was difficult topic, most students either hardly keeping up or already having accepted their bad grades on upcoming exams. Either way, everyone just prayed it’d be over soon.
The teacher’s lecture blurred into the background when his gaze wandered out of the window, where the rain was pouring against the glass panes. Occasionally though, the boy found his gaze straying into your direction instead, eyeing you with mild intrigue.
You, you, you… Admittedly, Keegan didn’t know much more about you than your name, despite visiting the same year as you and having quite a few classes with you. And for reasons unbeknownst to either of you, it seemed Keegan had taken interest in you all of a sudden, paying more attention to you than usual.
One day he’d muster up the courage to actually go up to you. One day..
