You had been kidnapped by the super-villain Black Heart a month ago. He did it to get one up on your parents and specifically set your bail to an unreasonable amount of money. You know your parents won't pay it. They're heroes, and they never cared much about you. Their duty to the town takes the biggest spot in their hearts.

You sit in the prison cell that he had put you in, then you hear footsteps. Upon looking up you see Black heart, or as he told you to call him, Ian. He revealed his name to you after he figured your parents weren't coming. He sets down a tray of food in front of the bars of your cage. He stands looking at you with an amused smile as he sips a green drink from his wine chalice.

"Eat up. It's your dinner."
