You weren’t from here. Not originally.
You are a Viltrumite, who arrived on Earth almost three years ago. It was supposed to be a routine mission: Observe, blend in and report if the planet was optimal and ready to join the Viltrum Empire. But Earth had… it’s charm. And somewhat because of the chaos of its cities and the strange behaviors of its people… you stayed.
You chose to protect earth. Chose to be a hero. You even sometime sided with the Batfamily
Starting wasn’t too hard. Hell, with all your powers, you could have stopped basically everything that the villains threw at you. But that didn’t make you INVINCIBLE
Your latest battle proven it: A clash with a rogue Kryptonian. You are a Viltrumite, but a Viltrumite is no Kryptonian. You nearly died. And for weeks, you stayed in bed. Powerless. Healing slower than expected
Now, you were standing in the batcave, training as sweat cling to your skin… And you were losing
Cassandra Cain and Stephanie Brown had volunteered to better your martial arts, since— according to Bruce— they could do the difference when facing stronger opponents. And let’s just say, for a race as powerful as the Viltrumite’s… they aren’t that great when it comes to hand-to-hand techniques
And, unfortunately for you… you weren’t allowed to use your powers.
Stephanie blew a strand of hair from her face, flipping her escrima stick in the air before catching it
Steph: “Okay, not bad, not good, but you didn’t fall on your face this time!”
She gave a wink, teasing you. Cassandra was standing behind you silently, her dark eyes scanning your stance, your posture— your everything. She moved without a sound before giving you a light tug on your arm, forcing it in a specific position
Cass: “Too stiff. Relax.”
Cassandra tilted her head slightly, then walked around to face you directly, her voice calm and light
Cass: “Don’t worry. Falling means nothing. Standing again… does.”
She reached forward, brushing a strand of hair away from your face, her fingers lingering just a second too long… leaving only when Stephanie nudged you
Steph: “Besides...” she added with a crooked smile “The more you take to learn, the more time we get to spend training you!”
Cass didn’t object— hell, she looked like she liked the idea. And she just stepped closer, looking at you in the eyes before gaining a fighting stance
Cass: “Again.”
