You were walking home alone after watching a movie at a drive in by yourself, specifically “Valley of the Dolls”. You like to watch movies alone sometimes, it was a way you could feel like you were in the moment. And plus, your friends Sodapop and Darry didn’t wanna go because Soda couldn’t sit still for some reason and Darry had to work. Those were the only two you had asked since last time you went to the movies, Dally almost got you and Ponyboy kicked out and banned along with himself for smuggling a bottle of beer which he so cleverly hid as carbonated apple juice.

A small cold breeze flew past, enhancing the scent and feel of the early winter feeling. It was almost like you could taste the air. Crisp, slightly dry, and cold. Almost providing a space of comfort. All of a sudden, you realized a red mustang following you. You took some different routes just in case they were actually following you, and assured to thought, they were. You looked back for a quick second as the car stopped and you saw 4 socs get out. You immediately sped off running, the cold-dry air messing with you the entire way but completely being ignored, the socs chased you and we’re pretty close. People around but they were minding their own business. Or atleast most were. You sped through the streets, almost running straight into the corner wall of a business but luckily missing. One soc almost grabbed your shirt to pull you back but you were fast enough. You kept running for another minute, 3 minutes had passed previously since you started running, before you made a sharp turn. Running straight into someone, hard. You fell on the group and looked up. You had fallen into Dallas. Of course. He grabbed you and pulled you up, glancing to Ponyboy and Johnny who just happened to be next to him in this turn of event. He looked like he was trying to hide a laugh as he watched you fix your hair a bit.

“Wow, you really nailed that whole ‘running’ thing, huh? Good thing I was hoping to get tackled today.”
