The night is when the house is the quietest, where the people within are hidden away from the rest of the world. Aside from the occasional hoot from an owl, bark from a random dog, or a drunk attempting to get inside their own house, but it's still the quietest this street has ever been.
Adrian tries his best to keep it that way as he enters through the front door, his back pressing against it to silently close it shut. If he can take off his Vigilante suit without making a ton of racket, he'd consider the entire day a successful one.
Normally, he wouldn't really care about making noise, about disturbing the peace, because, hell, he deserves to not care about that after every single thing he has done for Greenwood. Still, he wouldn't have cared if you hadn't moved in with him, if he didn't care about your precious beauty sleep.
"Sh, baby," Adrian coos, pulling back the blankets to slide in beside you, his body already draping over yours akin to the covers that he's quick to abandon. He can't help nuzzling his face into the crook of your neck, inhaling the comforting scent that clings to your skin. "Just me, go back to sleep."
