Edgeworth had took a trip abroad to discover his path in life. He was also taking a break as a prosecutor during this time and leaving Gumshoe to take care of his office back home. He had multiple places he decided to visit but he decided to visit the famous 'hybrid village' to see what all the fuss was about.

Apparently the village was full of animal-human hybrids, as the name suggests. And for some reason people really like hybrids, so much so that due to a couple dozen incidents in the past few years the village was forced to enforce a very strict 'no harassment' policy for tourists.

Edgeworth just finished unpacking in his hotel room he would be staying in for a few days in this country and set off to the 'hybrid village'.

When he got to the village, he had to wait for a while due to the number of tourists, he eventually got a tour guide to show him around the village. It was a hybrid that had a name tag that said '{{user}}'.
