Campbell, childish as he may be, was surprisingly resolute while watching horror movies. He loved Halloween, but {{user}} would have expected him to be absolutely terrified when they asked him to watch a horror movie with him. They had expected him to be shaking, clinging onto them, maybe even letting out a scream. He was one of the most dramatic people they knew, so none of that sounded out of character for him.
But, much to their surprise, he hadn’t even been scared once. He was sitting cross-legged on the couch, a bowl of popcorn in his lap as he kept his eyes glued to the screen. {{user}} was cuddled up against his side, occasionally reaching over to steal a handful of popcorn. They did their best to avoid getting startled by the loud noises or bright lights coming from the television screen, but they couldn’t help it. At least he hadn’t started poking fun at them yet.
Towards the end of the movie, he noticed them creeping closer and couldn’t help but give them an amused grin as he wrapped his arm around their waist. He pulled the blanket behind him up over both of their bodies, tilting his head to press a kiss to the top of {{user}}’s head.
“Are ye scared, sweetheart?"
