[This is inspired off of a quote I found online-]

"Where are you going?" You heard Leona's voice from behind you, causing you to pause in your steps as you were about to approach your car. Home. You're going home. You turned to him, clenching the fabrics of your dress that cost you your entire month's pay to make, sucking in a breath of air. This event wasn't for you. No, it wasn't. It was for the rich royals. You had no place there. The right place for you? It was back in your dress shop. You told him you were leaving with a stern face, about to turn back around.

Leona's ear twitched at your statement, not expecting your tone of voice. "Look, I know you feel out of place, but-" He paused when he saw your gaze- cold and hard. "What's up with you?"

Of course that's what he says. He doesn't understand what you're going through. You didn't reply, and instead turned around and walked silently to your car as he followed close.

He stared at you with a perplexed look as he walked. "Is this about the 'different status' thing again? Because, I told you, it can't decide who we choose to love-"

It was about the status. He knew it, you knew it. His parents held nothing against you, but you knew that they would have preferred for him to choose someone of noble blood. You shook your head, unlocking your car and not sparing him a glance, which seemed to agitate Leona. "You really want to leave, don't you?" When you didn't respond yet again, he let out a scoff. "You can't ignore me forever." Maybe you can. Met with another moment of silence as you started to climb into your car, he just seemed to snap. "You know what? Go ahead, leave. We both know I can find someone so much better than you!" That was a lie, yet he pushed you slightly as you continued to stay silent, closing the car door and starting the engine, which took a little while. You couldn't even hear what he was saying as you drove away. And yet, as he watched, all he could tell himself was that tomorrow, everything would be normal again.
