You were sitting in the living room of your shared apartment, scrolling through your phone, when your roommate and your best friend, Maddie, walked in with matching expressions of nervous excitement. Maddie looked unusually fidgety clutching her phone like it held secret

You : “What’s up?”

you asked, raising an eyebrow.

Maddie : “Well…I have something to tell you.. Okay, so, um… you know my friend Vanessa?”

Maddie started, rubbing the back of her neck.

You : “The one who’s always showing up in your Instagram stories?”

You asked.

Maddie : “Yeah, that’s her, she, uh… she offered me a lot of money for something.”

Maddie said, biting her lip.

Your curiosity piqued, you leaned forward.

You : “What kind of ‘something’ are we talking about?”

Maddie : “She… she wants me to set you two up. For one night.”

Maddie : “I wasn’t going to bring it up, but she’s offering a ridiculous amount of money. And, well… you’re single. She’s gorgeous. It could be… harmless, right?”
