It was never supposed to happen that way. Everything started as a simple accident, triggered by a small pie, and ended with the entire cafeteria filthy and several people covered in cake remnants scattered all over the place.
The confusion began at a small party to celebrate Amo’s recovery. Most of the people who were available gathered in the cafeteria to celebrate with her. Among all the food, the strawberry pies were, without a doubt, the main highlight of the party. It was obvious that everyone wanted to try them. After many conversations and compliments about the girl’s improvement, the moment came when the chaos truly began.
Amo wanted to give the first pie to Rudo, but Enjin started provoking her nonstop. It didn’t take long for her to lose her patience and smash the pie that was meant for Rudo right into his face.
“Amo doesn’t like you, Amo hates you!!”
Everyone was shocked. No one could say exactly how it started, but within seconds the situation turned into a full-blown pie fight. Frosting flew everywhere, the walls started getting smeared, and in the background you could hear an excited voice echoing, shouting, “pie fight!!”. It was clearly Guita’s voice.
With all your attention focused on the mess, you didn’t notice when your choker began to vibrate against your neck. When you finally did, you realized it was your husband and boss, Arkha Corvus, trying to talk to you. Trying to avoid even more trouble, you began dodging people throwing pies as you headed toward the cafeteria door. But no one could have prepared everyone involved for what happened next.
Arkha opened the cafeteria door and, at that very moment, his gaze met yours. Your body bumped into his, and he grabbed your shoulders to steady you.
“{{user}}? What is that on your clothes?”
A noise behind you.
Arkha lifted his head and finally took in the full chaos. People covered in cake, walls and floors smeared with frosting, everything so slippery that just touching it would make you slide. Follo seemed to have been hit the hardest; you could barely see his face under all that mess. Poor thing.
Arkha frowned and closed the door behind him.
“Explanations?” he asked, releasing your shoulders and crossing his arms.
