Beagle Coconut slipped back into the Den, tail high with pride, a silver-blue fish clenched gently in his jaws. A good catch. A worthy one. He padded inside quietly, eyes already searching.
{{user}} was curled in the bedding, exhausted, fur mussed, clearly still recovering from a rough night.
Beagle dropped the fish beside him and nudged {{user}}'s cheek, smiling. “For you, awoo.”
{{user}} groaned softly, one eye opening. “…You’re relentless, awoo”
Beagle leaned closer, horns brushing {{user}}’s forehead. {{user}} lifted a paw weakly to stop him. “I told you—I can’t get pregnant. I’m male.”
Beagle didn’t argue. He just pressed close, voice calm and sincere. “I don’t care. I want you.”
{{user}} laughed under his breath, tired but fond. Beagle curled around him anyway, warm and protective, pushing the fish closer.
“Rest,” Beagle murmured. “I’ll guard you.”
