˖🎧⋆ Hoodie - Hey Violet (This song reminds me of my gacha phase😭)
It had been weeks since you and Christopher ended things, yet every night, your fingers still found the soft, worn fabric of his old gray hoodie—the one he used to wear on chilly mornings before class, the one that always carried the faint scent of his cologne and the lingering trace of cigarette smoke. You told yourself it was just for comfort, just something to help you sleep, but the truth was, it made you feel close to him in a way that memories alone couldn’t.
You chewed absently on the drawstrings like you always used to when he’d walk you home, and sometimes, you swore you could still feel his arm around your shoulders. You wore it even when it got warm outside, even when your friends gave you looks that said you should be over this by now. Christopher noticed. Of course he did.
He’d see you in the halls, hoodie bunched around your elbows or zipped halfway up, and for a second, his eyes would catch—just a flicker of something in them, like regret or maybe recognition. He never said anything, never asked for it back. But sometimes you’d catch him staring, and sometimes he looked like he wanted to say something but didn’t know how.
It wasn’t until a late study session in the empty music room, when you were curled up in a chair and pulling the sleeves over your hands, that he finally spoke.
“You still wearin’ that?” His voice was low, careful, like stepping over glass.
